Senior and Retired Dog Glory Run

News

Retired and/or senior agility dogs still love to run! Re-live your glory days together in a fun run specifically for retired dogs on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at MSA Sports Spot, 3701 32nd St., Kentwood MI. The event will take place following the completion of the novice standard runs in ring 1 at the Grand Rapids Agility Club’s trial that day.

There are a number of ways can do to honor your retired companions at this event, with all proceeds donated to West Michigan Dog Sports.

  1. Consider entering this demonstration run to honor your retired agility partner(s)! Run the course and relive those special years. Your entry fee of $20 per run is a donation to West Michigan Dog Sports which helps support our mission of bringing dog sports to the community and enabling more people to experience the joy of running with their dog.
  2. Share a short history of your dog’s accomplishments, which we’ll announce during the period that you and our dog are running the course.
  3. Bring a photo of your dog for display on the Glory Wall.

You can honor your former agility dog(s) that is now at the Rainbow Bridge too. Bring a photo of your beloved companion for the Glory Wall and a short bio for announcement during the glory run event. Suggested donation is $5 to $10.

Download the premium for all the information and to participate in this event.

For those not entered, we encourage you come watch the senior and retired agility dogs run and help celebrate all they’ve done. Hope to see you there!
